Boards of Canada 2012 Most IDM Tournament

We're now at round 2 of the tournament.

There were a couple upsets in round one. Mossy stones crushed Yes (a Twitter post made by Boards of Canada). The great singularity managed to squeeze past Chernobyl. Terraforming planets won a close battle with machines that are smarter than man. In a big upset, Alternative universes beat IDM, a number 6 seed. The biggest upset was Endless airport parking lots at night in an unfamiliar city destroying Not releasing an album for 5+ years, a number 3 seed. Also, huge machinery beat moss in the final upset. Fans of moss may be mobilizing behind mossy stones.

There also 3 very close matches. Windows 95 beat Lego by 1 vote. www.gaarg.tumblr.com beat Freaky caterpillars by 1 vote. The great singularity beat Chernobyl by 1 vote as well.

Let round 2 begin!

Why are they grouped this way

I grouped them in round one so that the top seeds would go up against the lower seeds, to increase the chances of the most popular ones lasting until the end. This is how brackets are usually done. I think I might have made some mistakes around the middle seeds, but it was essentially correct.

Maybe your tastes are just different than the results from the qualifying rounds.

Thanks mate. I'm a bit sad that "Totally borking up a tournament on the internet" didn't qualify though. I voted for it.

its about time to start voting for the things that will make a good track, not just the things that are cool... Maybe the same thing though.
