Redruth
i've enjoyed selected tracs from 'lazare' but it also has tracs that are quite tedious and juvenile Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/72798-principles-of-geometry-burn-the-land-boil-the-oceans/#findComment-1788431 Share on other sites

Guest Teribal Felafal
Looking forward to this more than anything else at the moment. Cover art is insanely cool. Guest Backson
oh, nice! I listened to Lazare for the first time in ages the other day, and I forgot how good some of the tracks are. So I'm somewhat interested in this. Album art looks rad too! Guest interr0bangr
Leaked... It's a bit of a weird one. Definitely more like Lazare than their self titled. How so? I guess I always hope they'll go back to their more melodic IDM roots from their first album. I'd say about 40% of Lazare had that IDM feel to it and this album has even less. It's just a weird mix of drone-ish, downtempo-ish electro with a couple dancefloor tracks...nothing groundbreaking and nothing overly amazing, just decently solid. Will probably pickup a copy if it gets pressed on vinyl. Guest Backson
might have to check this out, because I can't really picture how it sounds based on that. i really liked all the choppy sort of tracks from Lazare. Like "Interstate Highway System" and "Golem". Is that what you mean by "dancefloor" tracks? It's basically seems like french electro circa 2007 (think Justice/Ed Banger) with a little bit more dankness and atmosphere to the synths. "Weird" to me because I always think of PoG as an IDM act. Guest Backson
That's kinda cool. As long as there is angular samplism I'm happy. Where french electro meets IDM sans heavy sidechaining is basically my holy grail of beats. I think I'll pick this up. The loveliness of the artwork is what's pushed this over the edge for me.
