cheers guys, but i think the breeze from the speakers is a bad thing actually, the bass should be enough without being overpowering. ive been spending alot of time making music at the moment, but im still stuck producing on a powerful hi-fi system, its really not giving me an accurate representation of whats actually happening.

HEAVY! Kinda wish the intro was longer though so the hi hats had a chance to really sneak up on you :)

well I get the red lights at about 20% below my max setting,could be worse, that doesn't help you, but I like the music, and the breeze anyway

I like what I'm hearing. not the kind of thing I listen to a lot but it definitely has a good energy and the evolution of the track is nice !

also, is there a way to automate an exponential fade in on ableton? or would i just judge it manually?

Sorry - I don't use Ableton, but I think it's possible to create "joints" to bend your automations around but I could be wrong :)

so, am i overcompressing then? im essentially trying to emulate the sound and power of techno that i love, but im pretty much teaching myself when it comes to production and i dont know what im doing right or wrong.

Nah, you're just going for the Berghain (Marcel Dettman, Ben Klock) sound which is cool. I can get behind that. I guess most people here are used to shitty sounding Squarepusher albums. Compress that shit, Messiaen!
