Djing for IOS?

Just wondering if any of you folks are using any Djing apps for IOS (Ipad, Iphone & Ipod Touch). I've started using Djay - its super cheap at a mere 69p!! :O Its certainly more challenging DJing with it vs Ableton but I think for me I'm learning a lot through the process by having to mix in the more tradional way.

The main reason I'm favouring DJing via IOS is that I'm gonna start doing gigs again so really don't want to be lugging a laptop to them. For me that's too much hassle and risk. There are a few IOS controllers out there by Numark mainly the iDJ live and iDJ Pro so I think things are opening up in this field myself.

Ya but when you go to a gig or see a dj what would wanna see an iphone, or a couple of real decks and vinyl/instruments?

I dont think ipads are something you want to see a performer (solely) use, is that even djing anymore? also a dj who cant beatmatch?

i'm afraid the beatmatching skill is on the slow road to death. Ableton is to thank for that mostly.

Not necessarily a bad thing. The line between DJing and live performance is blurring quite a lot, and I like it. Nothing better than going out and hearing some tracks you know, played in interesting ways.
