I gotta say, they peaked with Surrounded By Thieves. Their last few albums have some great moments though... if you like head-banging.

I lost interest in High on Fire years ago after listening to Surrounded by Thieves a lot. Listened to the first 3 tracks on NPR and I am greatly impressed, it's so much more than I expected the band to be able to do. Anyone consider this their best?

Too soon to tell. I'm still not fully versed with their last one. Death is this Communion has some sick shit on it tho.

I always make it a point to catch them live. It seems like they are avoiding SoCal on their tour. Wtf?

Killer album. Listened to pretty much nothing else apart from this and the Meshuggah last week. Kurt Ballou handling the production was an inspired choice. King of Days is almost HoF doing G'n'R.
