[WARPbot] Clark: Discussing 'Iradelphic' on Dazed Digital

I feel like Iradelphic plays as one long track, more then anything I've ever done, really. It's subtle though, it's designed for repeat listens.

i really hear this. maybe that's why people are finding it boring?

funny I find it extremely disjointed. the first three tracks don't seem to fit the rest for me. it feels very top heavy while feeling too short. totems flare was a home run as far as pacing and flow and I find iradelphic falls flat for me on that front.

best album. nobody can do the same thing forever. and people say that all the time.. and it sometimes feels like an excuse, because they just couldn't make or manage anything better at the time. but i don't feel that's the case with Clark here. the whole thing's 'rad'. :)

haters gonna hate.

Yep, if you spend a long time on something, it's automatically good! Certain of you would jack off to certain artists turning on a ceiling fan and eating a sandwich. I guess that's the opposite of the incredibly vapid "haters gonna hate."

lol

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

Weird. Iradelphic is pretty much the only Clark album that DOESN'T feel like that. He's always been really good at it, but something is just 'off' about this one. The first three tracks, great. They all have this classic Clark sound mixed with guitars. And then there's the two tracks with vocals. Pretty good too. BUT, then we have Ghosted, which is pretty much the single worst track he's ever done, and a piano track (which I quite like), that are completely out of place. and after that, we get the Pining trilogy, which kinda returns to the sound of the first three tracks, but with awkward silence between part 1&2. Then at the end, there's this really boring ambient track, Because as we all know, every electronic music album has to end with an ambient track.

Maybe I just don't get it. I love the album. Some really great tracks on there. But at the same time, it's Clark album that feels the most like a random collection of tracks.
