VSTs you use that came out in the last 3-5 years

Hey all,

I've been out of the game for a couple years since going to college. Haven't really had time to do anything serious besides making "beats" for friends. Can yall get me up to date on the VST game? I think if I got some new instruments it would kick me back into writing this summer.

Free VSTs are preferrable because, like I said, I'm a college student. And I use Jeskola Buzz to write music so...let's just say I'm not bathing in cash.

Looking for mainly synths/drum machines/samplers/effects. What are your fav VSTs in this category that have been released recently?

I'll start off the thread by failing the request utterly and mentioning some old classics that have stuck around for me. And those are all of Majken's stuff along with everything Tweakbench.

I haven't used much software in years. But two VSTi's I love are Synplant, and Gladiator. Synplant especially, it's very unique.

The ones I use a lot are:

Cheese Machine

Minimogue VA

Juno X2

FM8 is by far my most-used.

I use those synths and effects. I am looing into Geist. but it's pretty pricey.

As much as everybody dogs on it the Moog Modular and Minimoog from Arturia can produce some amazing sounds.
