Drum Machine Workouts

Please recommend tracks focused on drum machines. Especially 80s/90s digital stuff. Roland 505s, 626s, 707s, 727s, R8s. Yamaha RXes and RYs. Casio RZ-1s.

I thought I had a bunch of stuff but I tried to find some yesterday and I'm coming up way short. So classic stuff is fine, I either haven't heard it or forgot about it. These are way obvious:

Drexciya (?)

B12

most 90s Gescom

Black Dog - Bytes (their other stuff probably is too, but I haven't heard much of it)

LFO

probably Mike Dred although I don't know his stuff very well

probably some old Detroit stuff

LOL R Zee Oner Panix was posted twice and that was in my head while making this post.

Cool recommendations. I forgot about Plastikman.

the mid period Esplendor Geometrico is straight up early digital drum machine grooves, highly recommend them. more on the 'industrial' side of things, although they are now labeled minimal wave because Peter Butter Wolf says so

from 1988, sounds like a proto hybdrid of Panacea and Aphex's Ventolin to me

not sure when this is from, this one has a little bit of vocals but their songs don't usually have any

also might be a little more industrial than you are looking for, but i always considered Clock DVA to be more of a rave-ish dance act than EBM

Nice stuff, thanks!

No, industrial is good,I actually thought I mentioned it in the description somewhere but I guess I forgot. For example I would drop this in here too:

i love that track, distorted 808 cowbell being simultaneously distorted with 808 bass drum sounds soooo good, im surprised i dont hear more throwback people copying this sound

Yep, so tasty. That track is actually pretty nicely understated, considering all the harsh stuff going on.

Also: OK GUYS one and possibly more of us thinks R Zee Oner Panix is shite, the rest of us think it's good, myself included. Now let's move on, please. Here's some other RZ-1 shiat.
