Terre Thaemlitz - Soulnessless

Been waiting for this for a bit.

32 hours long on a microSDHD card. All mp3. Longest album ever created, and probably brilliant. How could you not find something great in there w/ that amount of music?

I held off pre-ordering this as someone here told me it was 128kbps (which I can now see was probably a result of reading the file specs from preview samples), boomkat however says it's 320kbps so all is right in the world again !

BTW - I believe the 30 hours of it cycles between two chords, those expecting 30+ hours of continually different stuff take note ...

Edit - Yeah it's extract 5 on the Comatonse site (Meditation on Wage Labor and the Death of the Album) which is 29:40 long - You can listen to a long extract of that track here (starts at 1:04:39) - http://rwm.macba.cat/uploads/process/cwp_05_01.mp (add a 3 to the url, I've purposefully missed it off as IPB automatically turns it into a player so you cant see the time code or download it)

Terre has released a big bunch of his oevre to the release date on multiple DVDs. Very expensive, but nevertheless a nice thing:

I must admit that I find his latest releases rather boring so I skip this SD card………

So in total (excluding the main video content which is 1 hour 20 mins 38 s, and the additional preview video and comprehensive .pdf booklet(s)) you've got 32 hours 16 mins 9 seconds of mp3s @ 320 kbps spread out like this -

Even excluding the 29 hour centrepiece it's a really well constructed collection of music, video and writings. Really so much work appears to have gone into this and so I can definitely attest to the value of the album. It was a gamble of a purchase but it sure seems to have paid off !

IMO every single modern cassette release ever also belongs in that thread as well.
