Recommend me some PC Speakers

Hi guys, I want to get my father some PC speakers for Father's Day and my budget is £50. What would you recommend which are going to sound half decent for that price. Cheers.

Probably blasphemy but I find Logitech speakers are actually pretty decent. I bought a Logitech 5.1 system about a year ago and it's quite good.

Mm budget has gone up to £140 ish. I've been looking at the Altec Lansing MX6021 - some are saying good and others are not??

They look decent but see they're only 2-way. Is there good definition with all the frequencies?

He uses them for gaming, music listening (not producing), and movies, and they are definitely entertainment speakers because the bass is fucking intense! I would buy those if I was you.

you could get a set of krk's for like 180 second hand, and they are an beast.

Mm shame the Altec Lansing MX5021 don't seem to be available anymore. Seems they've been superseded by the MX6021.

but if i were you i'd just get a pair of Alesis M1 320's... for like, 60 quid. or the next ones up from the 320's. i had a pair a few years ago for my laptop and they're decent enough.

personally i'd never buy anything by Creative or Logitech, or ALBA, for that matter! haha.. ALBA.

Yeah I realised after that comment that BCM was being his usual positive and bubbly self lol. Oh and the budget has gone up as I've got my sister's to chip in now.

btw, are you looking for a multimedia-type speaker setup for gaming/films, or just speakers for listening to music files/CD's, etc. ?

It'd be just for listening to files/cds music.
