Minimal Techno

Hey,

just wondering if there was any love for minimal techno on here. I'm always a few years behind music wise, but think some of these tracks are awesome, if a little cheesey Any decent recommendations for artists other than Pantha du Prince, Lawrence and Efdemin would be appreciated. I thank you

Yeah I still like this stuff. Not really well versed in it though so can't name too many similar artists. But the three you've mentioned are so prolific that you should have enough material to explore anyway.

I know minimal-bashing is "so-2009", but I really did get bored of it a long time ago. I like the minimal approach to making music, but the kind of techno you started to hear everywhere got pretty generic. I guess like any scene that gets popular.

I rather listen to some melodic minimal techno than Aphex Twin's more abrasive tracks. It may be 'of its time' and I may be entering the party late, but this is tonnes better than wank-step, and deserves recognition

*not trying to imply a link between RDJ and dub-step, that would be heinous gayness

Definitely better than wank-step! There was some good shit being produced, but personally I prefer something more upfront these days.
