Alcofribas
NASA's budget is completely fucked but i really hope the Titan Mare Explorer sees the light of day. Titan is awesome! Guest mafted
Cassini sent a probe that landed on Titan a few years ago, which barely made the news. but, they should be terraforming Mars instead of sending those stupid rovers everywhere, IMO. BobDobalina
That's pretty fucking cool alright, I remember watching a show recently about the liquid methane on Titan, and how (like water here on earth) it could possibly be a liquid substrate for life. I have my doubts though because as a liquid methane behaves in a vastly different manner from water, like how water molecules are polar (methane molecules aren't) and the way water dissociates into ions. There also may not be the other necessary building blocks for life as we know it: oxygen, nitrogen, etc. in sufficient quantities; a non-harmful source of energy. Then again it's possible there could be life-as-we-don't-know-it, self-assembling, replicating, & evolving in this environment by mechanisms hereto unimagined (or thought impossible), which would be really fucking cool. Rubin Farr
Yes with all the strange, and even unknown building blocks in the universe, different forms of life (possibly silicon) could evolve, maybe? Or some crazy intelligent gaseous creature?
