Just this short sequence uses 3285 watercolour paintings... and the guy plans on doing the whole movie.

that is incredible, especially considering watercolour is not exactly the media i would think would work for blade runner. but it really does.

watercolour is a wonderful technique to portrait BR, as it is smudged and dimmed, thus being able to focus on atmosphere. still, this drawings are a bit too smudged and could use a bit more subtle details. will check out the whole thing anyway

Yup, great idea, but needs more detail or rather focus.

nah Zaph, I agree... it's a cool idea, but the artwork needs a little more definition to be truly impressive. It seems too minimal and haphazard to really make me say "wow, good job" instead I'm just left thinking "Jeez, this guy has a LOT of free time"

Anyhow, trying to successfully remake a sci-fi epic by only using water colours is fucking hipster. I lived in Austin Texas for 7 years. Trust me on this one.
