same here. of course, the final product is going to depend entirely on what the participants perceive as being "good" (which in turn is influenced by culture), so it follows that this particular song is evolving to be shitty upbeat pop music that you'd hear in an apple commercial. it'd be cool if they tried different cultural groups after this and then compared them.

side-note: watmm should do a similar project and make the ultimate idm song.

yeah i saw this earlier, thought it was an interesting experiment at the least. the algorithm created a few odd choices along the way, but such things are bound to crop up.

i'd love to see this experiment performed with a group of non-modern peoples. like, a comparatively isolated tribe or something of the sort, see in what ways the results differed.
