Matlock has one of the coolest TV theme songs.

I was pretty bummed out but not surprised. The Andy Griffith Show is one of those truly classic television shows. Completely makes up for Matlock, the most stereotypical show for old person fodder ever made. For a basic family-oriented sitcom it had some touching moments without any melodrama. Really good stories. I can't say I've seen most of the series but I've enjoyed every episode I've ever seen. This one in particular is my favorite:

thats really sad. my family and i really loved Andy. we would watch reruns of the Andy Griffith all the time. A true American TV legend.

Gonna be busy tonight. The restaurant I serve at is Mayberry themed. Old people gonna be paying their respects via mashed potatoes and stuff.

Completely agree, one of the few shows from that era that still really holds up. My dad watched it as a kid and got me to watch reruns with him until I probably loved it as much as he did at the same age.

Gonna have to rewatch 'A Face in the Crowd' tonight. RIP Andy.

I think he's got a whole bunch of these. He sounds like my grandparents but a little easier to understand.
