That doesn't sound anything like aphex. and why put so much focus on where you get your inspiration from? it's not like the music is bad, so why not let it speak for itself?

Really nice production going on here on both of these especially with how the guitar is mixed in with the rest of the track. Good work man.

Oh man i have the same problem... you could try doing a section focused on a pad and do a slow build up to the main theme except with heavier percussion or a guitar solo or something distinctive.
