Help with computer problem

Hello, I wonder if any of you can help me with a really annoying problem with my laptop.

Basically, It keeps typing and holding the '2' key on its own. I'm pretty sure its nothing to do with the keyboard because it happens every time I start the computer up. (It beeps when windows is starting up).

The only way I can stop it is by pressing the '2' key, which may make you think it must be the keyboard. However, why would it happen every time I start the computer?

I checked for viruses using avg and Malware and it says it is clean.

It's your keyboard.

You could try reïnstalling your keyboard driver. If I understand you oorrectly it starts when you start the computer, and it stops once you've pressed (and released) the 2 key once? Doesn't really sound like a hardware problem.

you can probably find easy to follow instructions on how to completely dismantle your laptop into many parts and clean it somewhere on the internet. I did this recently(xps m1210) and it helped a lot. I actually found a few spider mummies nested inside, was pretty cool.

As much as I want to completely dismantle my laptop to find spiders, I think I'll avoid your solution.
