This is probably going to get me flamed down but its not a very searchable question I think.

Why is it that Windowlicker and Come To Daddy are so differant than any of Aphex's other music? Do you think he had the intention of making a song more accessible to Joe Mtv before and when he was creating them?

i actually think they are two of his best tracks....

i know lots of non aphex listeners who love come to daddy mainly due to the heavy distorted guitars and i want your soul screaming. windowlicker appeals more to the crappy rap listening crowd.

thats reeeeaaallllyyy close minded man. windowlicker, though it has that hip-hopness, i relate more to maybe a more extreme bjork or something...im not sure. its really unique and brilliant the way he uses a culmination of hideous voices to make something beatiful

hm...im not sure which ventolin release you mean, the only one i heard was the one with all the remixes, which wasn't really my thing.

come to daddy, although it sounds different, is still very much an aphex song. are we all forgetting the lasery warped voice breakdown thing toeards the end? come now.
