Only where a nuclear power plant leaks radiation.

only in japan do you then get radioactive butterflies. in other countries you might get different insects, or sometimes arachnids.

In other countries you get japanese people.

I figured from the title this would be about a new Brooklyn-based art/prog/kraut/rock band.

It's important because it puts paid to the idea that insects would come out on top after a nuclear assault. You know, the cockroaches will rule the world thing. So sure, with their fast turn around breeding cycle, they would probably be one of the first types of creatures to recover. But they will be equally effected by negative genetic mutation.
