Stone In Focus

Sorry, maybe it's absurd that I made a whole topic for one song, but I had to.

I am amazed by this song, opens my mind and leaves me numb for a long period. Just fantastic track, even tho it's 10 minutes long, and there aren't many changes throughout the track I adore it.

Don't know how to feel when I listen to it.

First song I played for my new born daughter in the hospital. FACT.

oddly enough I just listened yesterday for the first time to this song.. I read it's not in the cd version of SAWII which is the one I listen to

and oddly enough again, I listened to it for the first time in a "paulstretch remix" form... 1 hour 40 mins long... and it's awesome!

maybe my favourite aphex track... played it so, so much. anyone heard it in reverse? still sounds good.

I personally love listening to it through a boss metal zone pedal. bliss. lush. etc

definitely one of my fav trax just as the whole SAW II is an epic album so much times underrated as 'boring' and 'simple'.

Listening to it at the top of a mountaing range here in Portugal with almost no human constructions in the horizon, is well, mind blowing :D:

Still sounds great, but more like a less memorable drone track. The pacing of Stone in Focus and similar tracks like Rhubarb are what make them stand out for me. More hypnotic and soothing.

It sounds good regardless of how much you alter it - well you know, the original sound only. I don't want to imply dubstep or epic trance remixes would sound good. Maybe a Gas-ish 4/4 beat would work though.

I found Excursions in Ambience 3 at my local record shop for $2 last night!

What's special about it (in case you didn't know) is that it is the only authorized US release (as far as I'm aware) that contains #19/Stone In Focus.

Plus, it's on cassette.

It's in the original shrink wrap, so I think I may not open it. I do want to listen to it, tho.

I was talking about the album, not just the cassette version. It's just a bonus that I found it on cassette because it's awesome.

I'd open that in a second and throw it in my deck immediately - probably worth a lot though. Great find - no idea it was on cassette and it's great a fellow watmmer now possesses it.

Love how they just squashed the artwork to fit. Cassettes are awesome.

I have that compilation on CD. As much as I love that one track, it's completely not worth owning a record player for. The same goes for Analord. (Plus i got the bonus tracks as a reward for holding out, so I guess that paid off.) I'm a digital kinda gal. ^.^
