Guest edge
OK, so i just got me 707 and I'm kind of in love with it except.. it wont work! D: I got it off ebay and it took bloody 3 weeks to get here and I plugged it in all ready to sync up my 606 and my PC and it worked for about 3 seconds (literally) and then died. I thought it was the adaptor so I tried another 12v but NO dice. God damn I'm livid. Any ideas? Guest man with no name
looks like you fried your 707. Are you sure that you used the proper adapter? Guest edge
Yeah I did! I'm still thinking it could be the adaptor, because the spare one I tried it with has quite a large socket hole and the roland one has a really narrow one.. Chris Moss Acid
i use 9v on my 707 when i feel a bit more macho i go to 12v btw usful tip, on a tr-707 the Dsync dont work when the 707 is a midi slave also with every 80's roland the accent dont make it sound louder if you think it's too quiet puting the accent to max to get it to sound louder makes it sound absolutly horrible. Chris Moss Acid
here is another pg tip there is a FAIRLY WICKED SHUFFLE/flam FUNCTION EASY DONE By PRESSING SHUFFLE AND PRESSING THE STEP KEYS FROM 1 TO 5 AND bOUNCE IS FROM 9 TO 13 but can only be put on in pattern write mode. THERE IS MANY WAYS TO PLAY LIVE WITH THE 707 [iN PATTERN MODE]SHIFT AND PATTERN = PATTERN MODE FREE TIME PROGRAMMING STYLE I ID THIS FOR A LONG TIME BUT IT IS PRETTY BLAND EVEN FOR ACID. IF YOU JUST PRESS [WITH OUT HOLDING SHIFT] IT GOES INTO PATTERN PLAY WHICH CAN PLAY UP TO 128 BARS USING ALL 4 PATTERN GROUPS. WHICH IF YOU HAVE YOUR 707 PACKED WITH PATTERN IT'S WELL MENTAL! it is a wicked wicked drum machine i would be lost without one. Weird though, since those wires were loose i havent lost my drumpatterns yet as of 2 weeks in a row. Normally i'd lose those after 3 days or so, or at total random. But i've read stuff about the memory, so it cleared things up. Also, i want a 707 :C Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Fahz0r's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/7546-if-you-have-a-707-help/#findComment-155267 Share on other sites

Here is a list: Serial number why 087000 clock range extended 091500 power on reset made more reliable 092000 improvement to above 092100 New PCB layout 114700 Tempo clock range extended 148400 lower DC supply reliability Cym sound improved 159500 signal to noise ratio improved/lower distortion (battery drain is higher though) Capacitor C27, a 100uf cap keeps the memory backed up for a short time, though the purpose is really to keep memory intact while changing batteries, not for long term.
