Until now, I've only played BG2 (plus additions). Tried to play BG1 once, but after being used to BG2 it looked so crap. This is going to be a second chance.

What are you talking about?

It is an overhaul, made by Overhaul Games. That's what they do. They take old games and enhance them for newer devices/hardware configurations.

It's essentially the four original Baldur's Gate games for $20.

Actually, disregard, they're starting with BG1, then they'll work on Shadow of Amn and Throne of Bhaal.

There's actually a mod out there which runs the first game in the BG2 engine, higher-res graphix and all. You get to play all 3 games (Throne of Bhaal counts as a game) seamlessly from start to finish. It's brill.

As for this new version, I won't be getting it. I already own BG and even got it running on my phone with GemRB. But this sounds perfect for anybody new to the series - I implore you to get it, get it, get it! The 90s really were a golden age for RPGs and this is top-of-the-shop.

When they'll come around for Fallout 1 & 2, I'll be interested.
