I had a discussion with my friend that no good ambient being released this year? Any truth to this?

It's not a "release" but I've made about 9 hours of ambient over the summer. People tell me it's quite good.

There has been a decent number of excellent ambient albums released this year. These are the ones I can think of offhand. Some border on dark-ambient/experimental, but all of them are pretty amazing albums. If you want any more recommendations then pm me because I don't log in here very often.

That record is absolutely amazing. It's so haunting.
