Instrumental Hip-Hop

hey everyone.

Released a new track this morning. It's an ambient/upbeat track. I know that sounds impossible, but It works out really well actually.

yeah I like it too. it is not upbeat, it just has the contrast between defined (drums) and blurry (pads). nice combination.

pretty cool. but i would make the pad louder. i can barely hear it over the drums.

Yeah, like, a LOT louder.

I like the paper-y kick drum.

Also, your peaks/transients (i.e. kicks) are outta control You can get your stuff quite a bit louder if you mellow out the peaks/transients using compression (and/or limiting).

this, but it isn't bad could benefit from some additional elements imo. Like bass :)

Agreed. It's a little boring, but that doesn't mean you can't fix that

It definitely needs some bass, kick up the pads, vary the drums a tad more. Cool idea though.
