Guest yanG
Hi folks, I'm looking for the cheapest analog drum machine with great sounds... I don't need it to make a lot of sounds, I was wondering if there is a device that does the minimal stuff very good, without fancy expensive options... Just good analog sounds, preferably with gate or MIDI in. Any suggestion? o00o
I wonder if there is a difference in using just sampels? Guest quantumyumyum
Those little Jomox MBase/MBrane things are sweet, maybe not all that cheap (but cheaper than a drum machine with sequencer/various outputs etc), but lots of scope. th555
I'd say mfb as well. Or maybe you could get some seperate kick, snare and hat modules, and complement those with samples/synths. BCM
yeah good idea - check out the Jomox MBase_01 (or the newer version the MBase_11 - will be more expensive though for not much real difference) - fucking awesome analogue kick drums. had one for a few years, unfortunately sold it earlier this year, but i can attest to it's serious awesomeness. BCM
also, not analogue but the Kawai XD-5 is really really good - imo one of the best digital drum machines ever made. 256 waveforms, lots of cross modulation and envelope possibilities, can do everything from 808/909 sounds to crazy glitched up digital shit. bit of a bitch to program but incredibly powerful and ahead of it's time...usually can be picked up pretty cheap if you can find one.. http://www.vintagesy...m/kawai/xd5.php Edited October 2, 2012 by BCM Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide BCM's signature Hide all signatures Bandcamp | Spotify | SoundCloud | Amazon | Apple Music | YouTube | YouTube Music | Deezer | Google Play Music Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/75928-cheap-great-analog-drum-machine/#findComment-1885540 Share on other sites

There are some pretty great drum sequencers for both android and ios. The monotribe only has 3 untweakable drum sounds (correct me if I'm wrong), could be kinda nice with the monotribe's filter though.
