Dammit I just rebooted out of Boot Camp back into OS X. I will have to check this out though; looks QG

I wish they'd port it to mac. There's a total dearth of good samplers in the software realm.

One of my first bits of kit was a Yamaha TX16W sampler. I hope this isn't as cumbersome to use.

I thought it cost something, happy to see it is free! Might try it out, but honestly, there's so many great oft samplers out there, even for free you have the choice between Shortcircuit, HighLife, Zampler, among many others. But maybe this one is doing something the others don't do? :-D

The ones you mentioned will probably never see a new update or bug fix. The TX16wx developer is taking lots of user feedback so if there is something it doesn't do that you would like to see in it you could always join the discussion over at KVR and make some suggestions. The aesthetics/user interface/workflow/file browser/patch management are all a notch above the rest imo.

I'd rather have a semi-professional sampler.
