Devil's Decoupage proof of concept

yeah so like I said I'm trying to compose like real composer (I think?), like just LOOKING at the sequencer view and thinking "ok loop this 3 times then hold 4 times" etc etc. And I think I'm getting a handle on it. There's like 7 or 8 time signatures at once (what would a loop of just 13 ticks be? If 16 ticks is 4 beats, 13/4/4? 13/1?) But yeah music theory goes on rampage

I find your experiment too monolithic. Chaos can be good, but the chaos at the one-minute mark should sound different than the chaos at the 4 minutes mark. I can skip to various parts of your track and I hardly notice any difference at all, except for a little variation in the Bogdanesque* keyboard towards the end.

Jchgf has a good point, make it grindcore (short, fun and powerfull) and i'm sure in a year you can make a sweet album with experiments like this, good luck!

I dunno, the atmosphere I had in mind was some combination of the tracks on Filth sort of frenzied race to the finish/ridiculous ullillia jumping/ascending up very tall mountains with insane amounts of parallax scrolling

because it looks like strobing jackson pollock paintings but in my mind and my brain is the paint or something
