Apparently the OST from Portal 2 is getting a physical "collector's edition" in Mike Patton's label Ipecac.

This was one of my favorite albums from last year, great ambient and some IDM-ish tracks as well.

releasing in 3 days, but absolutely no info on what formats it's being released in?

Yeah, ipecac's website is sort of shit.

I love that this is apparently coming out on ipecac, though.

Amazon U.S. shows a CD release from ipecac @ $14.99

"A retail four-disc collection, Portal 2: Songs To Test By (Collector's Edition), will be released on October 30, 2012 through Ipecac Recordings. Three of the discs will include the music already available, while the fourth disc will include songs from Portal. A mini-comic, "Turret Lullaby", is also included."

The soundtrack for the first game was waaay better.

Nowhere near as good as the first, no.

That's my favorite track from P1, Kelly Bailey is the shit. Such a lonely song. It's really a shame he left Valve... I hope he at least finished the Episode 3 soundtrack before he left or something though.

Portal 2 does have lots of great tracks though, I love these:
