I don't understand what's so impressive about it. in the article, it says it's just a well-lit blast from a fog machine that only lasts a few moments. it is clever, but it's not an invention, and it would only work for photos. (and I am sure that 90% of the time it doesn't look as good as it does in that photo)

first thing that came to mind when I read title was the silver cloud room in the Andy Warhol museum in Pittsburgh, PA. Went there once when I was in Jr. High and that was my favorite room in the building.

i guess the trick is getting it to float in the air in one place instead of falling to the floor and dispersing like what a fog machine usually does. using existing technology in an obscure way to do things it doesn't usually do is "idm as fuk".

well its not in the picture, so they must put the cloud there and then walk the machine away as the cloud stays in one place... unless they somehow make a cold pocket of air in the room that condenses what comes out of the fog machine at that one spot. i don't know. i think it's cool.
