First time since Ultravisitor that he is developing his new tracks on tour .

Keeping the song "skeleton" rather simple to allow free flow of musical ideas in his improvisation. Quiet exciting.

Sounds good... Even a bit baroque sounding, the first one....

His shit last night in Chicago was nuts. I think he played solo bass for a good ~30 mins. Total chaos and it was great.

Bass bits were the only decent part of the Portland show. I'll shut up now, I've already bashed this tour.

Sounds like pure torture.

There's a part of me where I'd give my left leg to see Tom play 30minutes of bass live in front of me, but another part that goes "WTF what's with all that wankery!".

At least he improvs and tries to create new stuff <cough>AFX</cough>

It would be really, really great if Solo Electric Bass 2 was that kind of stuff...
