Guest Ando
I'd just thought some of you might appreciate this new upload from "bleurgh". Mixes Stone In Focus and Shiny Metal Rods pretty well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6mcMQK0oRE Has all the original SAW 2 images in it as well... Dragon
It's a good effort, but I don't think those tracks blend very well. Their atmospheres kinda clash into each other, you can't enjoy the full effect of one while the other is playing. I've heard some great SAW2 mashups, even done a couple myself. You can often tell when it works, the material combines into one strong atmosphere. But Shiny Metal Stone is just kind of undecided. Here are the ones I did back in 2006: Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Dragon's signature Hide all signatures faith <3 Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/76390-shiny-metal-stone/#findComment-1900427 Share on other sites

jlobkob
the video in the op is really bad, rhombix is totally right about the atmospheres. from about 2:00 it's laughably unfitting in every sense. rhombix mashups are better, but way too short (especially the third one). That is Cuckoo from AB4 slowed down and Z-twig, innit? Nice sounds. I also did an AFX mash-up featuring Z-twig a long time ago. It starts with the Quoth beat vs a filtered Xtal loop (which doesn't really work, to be honest), and after a few minutes it gets to a Z-twig vs filtered Xtal, which is a little better, though still amateur and clumsy.
