I used to love Soundgarden and this actually sounds pretty cool... had no idea they were on the verge of a new release. So thanks :)

Is it the original lineup?

I used to love them in the early days. Now I think Chris Cornell is a twatmeister.

Yup, it appears to be the same guys since Badmotorfinger. I listened through the stream of the new album once and was excited enough to want to go buy it on Tuesday when it's released. In the mean time I've gone back and listened to their older albums and man, I forgot how killer of a band they are!

I was a bit suprised at lack of replies....

I had a run through the album and thought it was pretty good and I was expecting the worst.

Jesus Christ Pose remains one of my favorite tracks of all time.

This is out today and is only $4 for digital at Amazon (today only I think)... just wanted to give a heads-up for anyone interested!

It may be over shadowed by the levithan which is the Deftones album.......

Soundgarden were my favorite band when I was 11/12, and still one of my favorites from that era. It is too bad about what Chris Cornell later went on to become.... but I have to say I am kind of excited about this album after hearing a couple songs. Badmotorfinger, Superunknown, and Down on the Upside are still all classics to me.

It wasn't bad, but neither was it great.

No, back when my time signature was 11/12 and people found me really awkward to dance to. These days I'm 4/4.
