Goiter Sanchez
Now is as good a time as any to sell it off if you are feeling ambivalent. Just make sure you rip the rare stuff first! Guest dial
It has crossed my mind many times to sell off my record collection - it would really help me financially. I usually listen to MP3's (much that I have ripped from my own vinyls). But then I get reminded that the collection is the reason why I like the shit that I like. I will atleast keep the essential stuff. Having a big collection is not my purpose.. Worlds Most Johnsson
It's nice to have music on the shelf. It's a hassle to move. Records are the last physical media to throw/sell for me. I will keep a personal library of books, dvd's(vhs even), video games and records. If for nothing else than decoration. Guest yikes
long term - it's an investment, as clean well cared for vinyl holds it's value if the titles are good [i suspect your records are meticulously cared for and the selection is top notch] if you aren't digging it or ran out of room for storage and aren't pressed for time just list your entire collection on discogs. if you want top dollar faster but are willing to part with some commission ebay them. if you want to off them all at once figure out what they are worth to you, compile a complete list and put them on craigslist or as a buy it now on ebay. how many lps are we talking here yek? also use http://www.popsike.com/ http://collectorsfrenzy.com/ for pricing and figuring out what stuff is worth good luck!
