Anyone got a TASCAM US 144 USB interface or similar?

I bought a new computer (yay!) installed FLstudio10, installed drivers for my audio interface, and set that as my audio device in FL, and it just does nothing. The little time slider thingy just throws a fit, it either freezes or gets to the end of the timeline and gets stuck, and I'm getting no sound.

 

I'm not particularly techy, and I have VERY little experience with hardware (this, and a Studio Projects mic are my only pieces of equipment, and I haven't really had much opportunity to use them..) so there's probably just something stupid I'm not doing.

 

Any advice you can give would be much appreciated, thanks.
