changing windows startup screen

so i managed to do this once but i forget how. i googled and some people are saying to dive into the registry and change shit which is not cool.

anyone else have done this? good progs? cheers

shucks, this isn't working for me. keeps giving me error messages. tried making image under 245kb, no worky. oh well. cool idea, my old laptop does not want
