Just getting back into Zs this weekend and wondering if anyone here listens to them. If not you should give em a try. Although not for everyone they're one of the most exciting, innovative, and unique bands I can recall today.

The first time I heard 'Nobody Wants to Be Had' I was totally unprepared for it and had to set down what I was doing and just take it for the six minute duration. It's this kind of stuff that makes me fall in love with music all over again. It reinvigorates my resolve to make the best stuff I can and tells me I have so far to go.

In an interview the band leader/sax player referred to their unison style of composition as the band operating as "one giant muscle", which is a fantastic and succinct way to describe what they're doing.

If you don't watch the whole thing, you can skip to 3:48 where the guitarists crank up the gain on their percussive guitars and it really kicks in.

Anywho, lots of respect for these guys who are doing something totally out and yet emotionally effecting.

This band is too good to fall into obscurity.

It kind of sounds like if Animal Collective and Battles started a band together. It's not bad, but it isn't my bag at the moment.
