korg sv-1

A friend and soon to be roommate just purchased one of these from ebay for 1000usd. He's a piano player and wanted something warm to play on. Have any of you tried this one? I watched some youtube vids on it, seems awesome. I hope it will solve my lack of '73 or rhodes anything-type sounds and I can finally ditch mr ray 73 lol

Never tried it but the Kurzweil synths do a good job with that stuff and you can pick one up for under 500 nowadays! Korg rocks though, so I trust it'll live up to it's name!

I had one and I really like the piano and rhodes sounds, make sure you get the soundpack2 from korg website, the acoustic piano in SP2 is with longer sustain. $1000 is a nice price, I paid mine for $1500 with some promotion (sold for $1500 later ), I will probably grab a 88 when it goes below $1000.
