Did Jacques Cousteau ever get to hear any Drexciya before he died in 1997?

One cannot hear anything other than Drexciya when being at the depths of the oceans in a submarine.

My father worked with him back in the 70's when he was working as a marine technician/biologist, and apparently the dude liked to get lit.
