Drukqs audiophile version. 180 gram

Recommended Posts

I've to the Warp shipping box it came too (to stop it getting dents in the 'rather too fragile for the price' box) - dunt mean nutting. Some red Sellotape and I can claim it's unopened too !

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Not knowing the lot # hurts it's value - obviously something in the low 10's or sub-100 would be considerably more valuable than say 500+. The lowest # I've seen sold is #340, for 160USD.

In looking at the sales history for this item on Discogs:

  • $220.00 Average
  • $221.81 Median
  • $299.99 Highest
  • $130.24 Lowest

450.00USD seems a bit high (although shipping is included), your starting bid of 285.00 is very close to the highest paid. Of course, you're fully entitled to sell it for whatever you like - I know I wouldn't part with mine for anything less than that.

hola... yes, its me, from back in the day. i've been hopelessly addicted to other social websites since the good old days of joyrex

last "mint unplayed" that sold on ebay went for buy it now $275

not sure the difference between this and the "standard" pressing is besides that this one is numbered and "audiophile" grade... I am sure that the invoice is in there, which would prove the authenticity.

I expected to get criticism by posting this here... I so i would happily include your "huge LOL," SPD² with the winning bid or purchase, but i might also be able to reach that ONE person who would want to purchase this//

free international shipping is a gamble though, as that could be up to $150 easy!

thanks for letting me spam joyrex!

I saw Druqks on vynil in a used bookshop years ago, I thought about buying it because it seemed cool, but teenage logic me said "but I don't even have a record player"... I wish I had bought it, I think they were asking for only like $45 :/

The difference is that the 'audiophile' grade pressing is limited to 1000 pressings and indeed numbered (with a sticker on the cellophane, so would be very easy to tell if someone opened and then resealed...contrary to what you posted on eBay :watmm: ) and that the audiophile pressing is pressed on virgin vinyl, which hasn't been recycled.

sweet. perhaps i did not compose my description in the most illustrative manner... but that whole cellophane comment was a dig/cut down on another auction. cool. when i called it "100% virgin" i wasn't too far off...
but yea, this is the real deal. take it or leave it. my ebay username is the same username i have on everything with this online brand... that account has 100% Positive feedback... so bid with confidence that this is NO FAKE:

I'm ok thanks, I bought my extremely NM Drukqs virgin-vinyl for £100 ($162 at current exchange rate) last year.

But I'm sure someone will want one bad enough to lay down $450.

I got #023 sealed off an ex Warp employee with the box. My understanding is most of the really low numbers remained in the UK.

You are one of the lucky few then... unless you're a WARP employee :emotawesomepm9:

I never understood what the big deal w/ the numbers was. It's not like it was the very first vinyl to be pressed or the first of any of the 4 LPs to be pressed (but who knows?). I doubt very much the pressing plant even keeps track. To me the numbers sticker was always just the first of the numbered stickers to be put on an album. I'm probably being an old curmudgeon about this, sorry.

You're right - it's not as if his was the 5th to come out of the press - they probably threw away the first few just to ensure the press was working properly, and the stickers weren't applied until well after all the vinyl was put in sleeves, packaged, shrink wrapped, and then finally that sticker was put on it.

BUT, as we are all human beings (I think), we value being "first" or within a select group, as it is in our nature, so hence why we'll pay more money for a sticker with a lower number. :cisfor:
