Unrelated tangent - when I was a kid I saw a Halloween costume that looked exactly, I mean, exactly like that screenshot of the pilot. This teenager did this incredible job of make-up work and also added a piece of flesh hanging off the cheekbone of his skull mask. He also had more of a WWII/Korean war era helmet and jumpsuit on. It was amazing to look at, never seen anything like it since.
