Starkey - Orbits

Not bad, but I'm not in love with it. Very similar vibe to Rustie and TNGHT but seemingly less hype. I remember following Starkey around the same time as Joker and Hudmo years back before they got signed to bigger labels. Listened to "Renegade Starship" quite a few times. Any thoughts?

I like a lot of his melodies & harmonies, but his "drops" & drums not so much lately. Though I was pretty excited by Command in this sampler, as well as some of the sweeter beatless tracks.

There are some tracks from 10+ years ago that I still love. He used to have some cool projects. I think our tastes separated with his love of grime.

I like this one.

"Thugs" was the only track that I've kept from it. I wasn't expecting much more than a couple of good tracks from him. Agree with the grime separation.
