Getting into 21+ Shows as a Minor

So Bonobo is playing very close to me on the 10th of janurary. Problem is, the venue is a bar so its 21 and up and i'm only 18.

I REALLY want to go because i've been trying to see Bonobo for over 4 years.

How do i go about getting in? Should i ask the bar manager for an exception and tell em my sob story?

I do have a 23 year old brother who could act as my gardian. Another resource is that the town, Sebastopol, is VERY liberal so i could see them bending the law a bit for this circumstance

don't contact the bar manager. they will never ever give a shit.

there are always ways, you just gotta be cool and spot opportunites. like when the guards go away for a short while, or if you can copy the stamp that the insiders got with a ball pen. shit like that. be creative.

I used to borrow my friends' ID's.

One time I used a friend's expired ID (which had the name Andrew B***** on it), and then Andrew was literally the next person to come in behind me 2 seconds later and showed his current ID.

The bouncer didn't notice two consequetive people with the same name and birthdate.

Yeah, I always either borrowed an ID or used an expired one. Some clubs have a tendency not to ID and you can get through the door. I've been recarded at the bar before as well so be careful. Also, don't order a stupid drink. (I am not encouraging underage drinking)

Just go float around like a ghost, enjoy the show and leave no trace.

Also, its probably best not to show up early as it will give you more camouflage to have a crowd of some sort. I've actually been asked if I want a drink before and gotten caught for choosing a stupid drink which why I made the recommendation I made.

I ordered a white russian and I didn't have a beard.

fake ID all the way or borrowed ID of someone who resembles you. It used to work for me pretty frequently, i was caught once using one and never tried it again after that. I just got a slap on the wrist from a cop who happened to be parked outside the club after the bouncers passed me off to him.

Get in touch with bonobo and try and blag his guestlist. Or offer to help unload the tour bus or some shit like that.

I remember being in Amsterdam when I was 18 and we found out Tiesto was DJing at the Kremlin Club. We walked across town in the rain, queued for well over an hour then got turned back at the door because it was over 21's. Fairly gutted to be honest, this was back in 2000 when Tiesto was the one to see.

Funniest bit was two of my mates had dropped some pills in the queue so we spent the next hour trying to find a half decent club before they came up Managed to find somewhere pretty decent though, there were some good clubs littered about Amsterdam (not sure what its like these days though)

I do have a very developed beard and have bought beer at the local supermarket a few times. I don't think i look 21 but this girl i knew thought i was 23. Do venues/bars card everyone at the door or do they just assume everyone is 21 but card them when they buy a drink?
