nice mellow vibes here...some issues with the production - sounds a bit muddy and muffled, but that also adds to the kind of sloppy, laid back vibe so isn't a major problem for me. anyway, enjoyed thanks!

Thanks BCM, very glad you like it. I'm utterly shit and lazy when it comes to mixing, that won't be an issue when I'm signed to a label and they're willing to pay for it to be done properly, obviously ;) cheers again mate.

I mega-dig it. Great vibe.

The mixing sucks, though.

For starters, try putting compression on each individual track to trim peaks (especially the kick).

It sounds like the entire mix was pushed into the red on the 2-bus (or possibly on each individual channel).

There's way too much low-end on the stuff that doesn't need low-end: try HPFing the guitar and vibes at 150-200hz, maybe with a resonant peak.

Yeah actually I would just smash the kick with compression so it pumps but doesn't take up so much room. Maybe search around the kick for the fundamental and then trim some unnecessary low-end (e.g. maybe HPF at 30hz and cut 175hz by 3db with a broad-ish Q).

Anyway, good luck.

Very nice vibe here and enough variation mixed through the constant beat/melody to keep me interested.

I could use a bit of variation in the cymbal sound.

Quite like the sound that starts @ 00.53 and the fingers sliding over the guitar are nice

Right - here's the remastered version:

...and the old one to compare:

It was being driven quite a bit into the red quite a bit LimpLoo so thanks for picking up on that and advising. It does sound better now, to my ears anyway.

Now I would use compression and/or limiting to get the new mix up to the loudness of the old one.

(Are there supposed to be clicks and crackles throughout?)
