Comfortable Headphone Thread

Going to get some new headphones soon and I've been looking at these for a while:

Good buy? Any other headphones that I should check out that are comfortable?

Look at those pads man.

Sennheiser is my favorite headphone brand. Their products might be worth checking out as well.

These are great. I personally got them for 180 but I dont' see that deal anymore.

Yeah, I have these. The sound quality is pretty good for mixing things and they are comfortable. I really don't like "circle" shaped headphones unless they fit all the way around the ear. I like this "ellipse" style better because it encases my entire ear. For long listening sessions anything pressed against my ears usually starts to bother me.

One drawback of these is that the 3.5mm plug that you can unscrew from the 6.5mm doesn't fit into jacks very well. It is loose and if you touch it a bit it will drop its full connection. It works differently on different devices though. For instance, It fits my iPod better than my laptop. Probably better to get a 6.5mm female to 3.5mm male. This is only a minor issue though.

Also, these reduce ambient noise by 32db or something because of their design.

As far as properly comparing specifications I couldn't tell you which pair is the best on the market.

YES. Or maybe music listening equipment. I feel theres a lack of that on WATMM

Got the AKG K550 about 4 months ago. If you need closed-back, I think they're up there with the best.

Seconded on the DT770s. I could wear those things for the rest of eternity simply for the comfort, not to mention the sound.

AKG 240s are 100$ off on Amazon. Time to get new headphones I guess

They are durable as all hell and are by far my longest lasting headphones, so I am not complaining.

I had the original TMA-1 headphones before getting the Studio ones, and I gotta say they were extremely comfortable. have you tried the different ear pads? or is it just the pressure of the pads on your ear?

these Studio ones displace the pressure from the ear cup to be around your ear, rather than directly onto it.

The pressure sometimes, but mostly just the hard rubber band on the top of my head gets to me for some reason.

the band on the Studio headphone is soft squishy rubbery stuff

Ugly as fuck.. But they are really comfortable.

Again, we need more info when talking about headphones! Comfortable okay, but for what kind of activity? Work? Home? Outside?
