ableton rm1x midi problem

hey i'm back :p

i just tried ableton as a midi editor into midi in of rm1x, it doesn't work

my tascam us122 midi out lights up

my rm1x midi in light does not

i reversed it and tried using the rm1x as a midi controller and that works

i'm pulling my hair out

i used to do this all the time

should i try an older version of live?

i suppose tascam midi out could be borked.. i mean, the light doesn't flash, it just stays constant when i turn midi out to sync in ableton....

should i drop cash on a new interface? i guess that's my question at this point if it can't be figured.

figured it out. i had to change my view of the mixer and change settings. YES
