Recommendations? Spaced out, etheric, black and voluptous tunes needed.

oh thanks for clarifying what you meant by music made in outer space about outer space because it'd be a shame if it was about a redneck astronaut playing country dittys about venus, DIY rocketships and womern doing him wrong...with the exception of this

seriously though, all solid albums of cosmic inspiration:

yeah nasa's voyager stuff is amazing. also get steve roach's sacred chords and mystic spaces (space/mystic ambient masterpiece)

space is the place

Steve Roach - the magnificent void

I'll have to think on this one.

U.F.ORB, without question

FSOL - Lifeforms always makes me feel like I'm on another planet. It's a masterpiece, in a league of its own, with regard to visiting unknown worlds

And most important: Biosphere's Autour De la Lune

    Quote
The album presents a striking difference from others in the Biosphere catalog due to its percussionless, minimalistic soundscapes consisting mostly of white noise and the sounds of the Mir space station, related to drone music.

The bulk of this work was originally commissioned and broadcast in September 2003 by Radio France Culture for a musical evocation of Jules Verne. As a book, Autour de la Lune (1870, Around the Moon) was Jules Verne's sequel to his De la Terre à la Lune (1865,From the Earth to the Moon). The first one dealt with the Earth part of the story until the ship's launching, from the outside. Autour de la Lune dealt from the inside of the ship with the launching and the actual space travel to and around the moon.

I thought I posted some youtube links to the Biosphere tracks, but they aren't showing up at all to me, not sure how that happened

I've never actually listened to this but the cover is cool:

snippets I've heard sound good - Lustmord in general is legit but always darker in tone (often his releases seem more claustrophobic, hellish, cavernous) not quite as gorgeous or ethereal but nonetheless out there, in fact one of the tracks on this one mentions Aldebaran which has been referenced in occult theories often
