Guest happycase
I've just switched over from a Mac to Windows. I'm looking for a comprehensive list of suggestions and pointers toward free production software, vst instruments, effects, etc. If it costs money, I don't want it, and I'm not really into pirating software. I know there's a ton of great shit out there. Hook me up. So far I'm using LMMS for production and it's not too bad. Edit: Also, sorry. Does this belong in EKT? I just don't seem to have all the angst and weirdness that fueled my high school days left in me. :\ I hear ya man, the weirdness comes and goes. Though, from my perspective, you seem to have an endless supply of weirdness, and I know you could arrange it in audio form on a blank stretch of time if you really wanted to. Reaper is what I was going to suggest, you'll get 60 days with it for free and then if you want to buy a license it's only $60. It's not the easiest daw to navigate right out of the gate though, so if you're not really into it, it might just uninspire you even further, lol. So for other options... this thread is a good place to find free VSTs, and it looks like Wavosaur (that adjective posted) hosts VSTs and also acts as a multitracker for free. that's pretty awesome. you could get seriously noisy with all those tools.
