Hey guys and gals,

I recently ordered a turntable (settled on a project debut 3 se with upgraded cartridge). The seller contacted me before shipping it and notified me that it is 220-240v.

As this is not compatible with my 110v 60hz plugs, I need to find a solution! Is the only way to get around this to get an upconverter/transformer? If so, will 800 watts cover it? I googled this issue but couldn't find an answer to how much wattage I would need.

cheers,

SG

Thanks guys. I was kind of worried that a step up transformer was the only way to address the issue.

Going to have to cancel

hi, buy a converter

check the wattage on the record player, there's probably a little label on there somewhere that will tell you

afaik most wattage ratings are a little bit dishonest (or not clear) so if it says you need 15w on your gadget you wanted higher than 15w converter

a 300w 110-240 converter would probably be enough for you, should cost about 30 or 40 dollars at your local hobbyist electronics shop

if you only need 3w or something get a 15w small one maybe

you could always ask the shop if you can return it if it's the wrong one
