Looking to get involved or start something

Been hobbying about for probably a decade now. beyond the tip of the iceberg but not sure i know enough. never really recorded in a specific genre just lazily spazzed about.

not short of ideas as such probably more direction. quite happy noodling about to pass the time away but not really recording or happy with what i start to make.

i think it's time i got involved in something ??? either start something with somebody equally at a loose end with it all or maybe join some folk who already have something started. i'm abit chaotic in the way i work but i get there in the end kinda

i'm interested in lots of electronic music and sound overall

i'm based outside halifax in west yorkshire i don't drive but i'm prepared to venture about within a reasonable distance. mainly use cubase 5 but am familier with ableton abit and a few other bits n bobs. not looking for a online collab

west yorkshire / manchester areas maybe liverpool at a push ...

would really like to start applying my scattered knowledge to something more worthwhile ... i think 2 heads or 3 can only be better than one

I'm in a similar boat and seem to be drifting more away these days but really need to get some ideas going before I can even thing about collaborating.

I find it so hard to find likeminded people for collaboration in electronic music. Either there is no common ground, or you live timezones away from each other. It's just so specific and granular.

You should be obsessive and strive to make a masterpiece. Spend 6 months on an EP or LP that you think is the greatest thing anyone has ever made.

That's what the world needs, not more overnight noodles.

I sincerely love this idea. This is what I really want. But I don't know where to begin.

Start with a detail and build a world around it.

Ya'll should submit tracks to the next IDM of the year comp! We'll probably do the voting in March, and start the music making in April.

Just my paranoia acting up. My bad if it wasn't.

Well Limpy if my loserly dilettantism is any indication, it doesn't matter much, but your words here really meant something to me.
