i'm runnining windows 7 sp1

8 usb ports on tower - 6usb 2.0 and 2usb 3.0 ports

i've a ten port usb hub and theres another 3 ports on the akai eie

bought a virus polar ti a couple of weeks ago and it was connected via the 10 port usb hub instead of directly into the tower as thast made the tower blue screen. anyway yesterday when i turned the polar on it didn't connect via usb, device not recognised. so in my infinate wisdom i thought i'll strip it down and reconnect everything into the usbs i want and this is where the nightmare has really begun

in total theres 19 usb ports and i've 13 usb devices. instead of blindly trying to turn them off and reinstall ( which is causing nothing but problems) is there any usb management software out there or equally some software that will create lots of port numbers so i can connect things up

it might be a power supply issue - ie all those USB devices are drawing too much power from your PSU and thus reducing the power that gets sent everywhere else, thus making your computer spazz out. so you might need to upgrade your PSU to something beefier.
